BOTOX®

Botox® Cosmetic is a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved, non-surgical treatment that can temporarily alleviate moderate to severe facial wrinkles in people ages 18 to 65. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons® states that botulinum toxin type A administrations were the number one minimally invasive cosmetic procedure administered in the United States in 2014, with 6.7 million procedures occurring during that year.

The procedure consists of several small injections taking on average 10 to 15 minutes. Within three to four days noticeable improvement in moderate to severe frown lines is expected.

Nouvel of Nashville uses Botox®Cosmetic to decrease the severity of facial lines, lines between the eyebrows, forehead lines, and lines around the peripheral eye (crow’s feet).

Alternatives to Botox® include periodontal surgery for gums, physical therapy, chiropractic therapy, acupuncture, facelift surgery, brow lift surgery, eyelid surgery, ultherapy (ultrasound) and laser therapy. However, all of these alternates are either more invasive or less effective than  Botox® for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles as previously described.

Botox® Application
Botox is applied via a brief injection into the affected tissue. The procedure is done in the comfort of your home.  The majority of patients have no problem resuming their routines immediately after the procedure.

While the affected tissue does not need to be numbed during the procedure, many patients request to have it numbed. In these cases, the provider will apply a prescription numbing cream approximately 60 minutes prior to the procedure. After the numbing effect is achieved, Botox® is administered to the tissue via a fine needle. The Botox® injection process itself is completed within a matter of minutes.

How Do We Decide How Many Units Of Botox To Use?
First and most importantly, we discuss with you your desired results. Then, we take into consideration your age, sex, and the areas that need treatment to determine the number of units.  The number varies between patients and will be thoroughly explained during your consultation.

Botox Unit Approximations
Below is a list of the approximate number of units used to treat each type of condition.

*Please keep in mind that the number of units may vary depending on the age, sex, anatomy, and physiology of the individual. Results may vary.

Horizontal Forehead Lines: 8-16 units

Glabella or Frown Lines: 12-30 units

Lateral Brow Lift: 2-3 units

Crows Feet: 8-16 units (per side)

Bunny Lines: 3-6 units

Upper Lip Lines: 4-8 units

Masseter: 15-25 units (per side)

Chin: 4-6 units

Neck: 20-30 units

Recovery

Because Botox administration is non-invasive, patients are discharged shortly after the procedure is finished.  There is no downtime! Some patients do experience muscle weakness temporarily and their upper eyelid muscles may droop. However, these side effects usually disappear within a few days after the procedure.

Pricing

Botox is measured and purchased in units. Knowing how many units of Botox you are getting determines your cost and treatment effectiveness.  We do our best to use the minimum number of units to achieve subtle results. The cost of your procedure will be discussed and determined during your consultation.

How does Dysport work?

One injection. Five points.

Dysport® temporarily treats moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows by reducing specific muscle activity.

Wrinkles are caused by repeated movements and muscle contractions. One injection into each of the 5 points between and above the eyebrows temporarily prevents muscle contractions that cause frown lines.

In other words: natural-looking results that look and feel like you.

You’ve got better things to do than think about what your frown lines look like. The majority of users see improvement in just 2-3 days after treatment. In just one 10- to 20-minute treatment, Dysport® may help improve the look of your frown lines between the eybrows for up to 5 months. Results of repeat treatments may be comparable to your first use. Another plus? There is minimal downtime after your treatment, which means you can get back to your day faster.

IV Hydration Therapy

IV nutritional therapy (a.k.a intravenous therapy, IV nutrition, IV therapy or IV nutrient therapy) is a type of therapy commonly used for its wide range of health benefits, which can include anti-aging, improved immune system minimized anxiety, reversed symptoms of hangovers and more. Although many may believe that nutrient deficiencies aren’t so common anymore, there are still many individuals who aren’t getting the essential nutrients our bodies need to perform optimally.

Because IV treatment is administered directly into the veins, the results may be faster than those of oral or other traditional medicines. Physicians believe IV nutrient therapy can be safe, effective and restorative, and can be customized to suit the unique needs of each patient individually.
